About our program

Buzzy Bee Montessori preschool/childcare is based on respect and love of children. We believe that the pre-school environment should meet the needs of the child in his or her developmental stage while respecting the child's individuality. We strive to provide a safe, healthy, and loving environment and to nurture the child's natural desire to learn.

The education children receive at the preschool level is arguably the most influential they will receive in their entire life, providing the basis and foundation upon which the rest of the child's life and career will be built. In the first six years of life, children learn from nearly everything they are surrounded by and exposed to. At this age, they not only pick up quickly on academic matters, but also life skills. Good manners, the ability to socialize with peers, the development of a core understanding of what is right versus what is wrong - all of these are products of what is learned at this age. As such, it is extremely important that the environment of children foster and encourage habits and practices which contribute toward the strong foundation of the child's persona. BBM strives to provide such an environment for all of our children.

Program Amenities

The program at Buzzy Bee Montessori offers 8:15am-3:30pm preschool schedule, Monday through Friday. Our child-centered classroom is geared to the size, pace and interests of children between the ages of 2.5- 6 years. Montessori lessons are presented with age-appropriate didactic materials. The program also includes weekly Spanish class and  daily special activities such as baking, gardening, yoga, dance and movement.

Business Specifications

Buzzy Bee Montessori is licensed by the state of Tennessee through  Department of Human Services, as a  Home Childcare/Preschool facility. A Home Childcare facility where up to 7 children can be cared for at one time. Buzzy Bee Montessori is a LLC business and is fully insured. 

Our staff have all the certifications required by the state: CPR and first aid, emergency and disaster preparedness, food safety and nutrition, standard safety and precautions measures, medication administration and many more.

Meet the guide

Samra Subasic McCoy, trained NAMC Montessori educator (primary)

Samra has an official preschool Montessori training from the North American Montessori Center. She loves children and creating aesthetically pleasing classroom environment. She believes, like Maria Montessori herself, that beauty and order draws the child to work and to create, not only "something," but to create someone...themselves.
